ACOLFÍSICA is a non-profit association that seeks to promote the strengthening of physics in Colombia through collaborative work for the dissemination, training and access to knowledge of physics in the country.
Our Objectives
01.
To bring together students and professionals of Physics and related fields in Colombia in order to protect and promote their interests, rights, freedom of teaching and research.
02.
Promote the prestige of Physics in the country.
03.
To support, encourage and promote research, teaching and dissemination activities in Physics.
04.
To stimulate progress in the teaching of Physics at all levels of education.
05.
To establish and maintain contact with national and international institutes and societies of Physics and related sciences, to foster and promote exchange between professionals.
06.
To contribute to initiatives and public policies that aim to encourage better training in Physics
07.
To promote the use and dissemination of the work of researchers in Physics in areas relevant to the development of the country.
08.
To encourage and promote the participation of women in Physics and reduce the gender gap observed especially in this discipline.
We are professionals in Physics and related disciplines in Colombia who seek to promote freedom of teaching and research, as well as protect the interests and rights of physics teachers and researchers in the country. Through our scientific work, we contribute to the development of initiatives and public policies in key areas for national progress, while also promoting the participation of women in Physics to reduce the gender gap, which is particularly pronounced in this discipline.
